Our Goals at NORCOR are to:
 | Correct the current inability to
immediately incarcerate adult and juvenile offenders by building and operating
a Juvenile and Adult Jail. |
| Assist in regional adherence to the
philosophy that "If you do the crime-you will do the time." |
| Provide a safe and secure environment for
the incarceration of juvenile offenders to assure community safety,
accountability and reformation. |
| Make juvenile and adult jail space
available in an effort to discourage and/or prevent the formation of organized
crime (gangs) in our communities. |
| Make "Tough-on-Crime" votes count by
making incarceration possible. |
| Assure Mid-Columbia victims that jail
space is available if the courts decide incarceration is the proper action for
convicted offenders. |

inherent social responsibilities of public safety, accountability and
reformation by providing the communities of Gilliam, Hood River, Sherman and
Wasco counties with the physical facilities to incarcerate convicted offenders
of any age in an effective and cost efficient manner. |
